Hi, my name is Mary Alberts . . .

Owner of Startups

My husband and I owned a few small businesses, three were startups. We sold our last business in 2018. We started a motor coach travel agency, a handyman service, a gas station/restaurant, and a kombucha company (which we sold recently). Our job duties were clear, he ran the operations and I ran the bookkeeping. As a result, I gained valuable skills in bookkeeping and understanding financial management.

Business Owner Equals Headless Chicken!

As a small business owner, I saw the vital need to delegate tasks. A business can consume you with nothing else left to give to yourself or your family. Plus, while you’re busy running around like a chicken with your head cut off, your focus on increasing business is being ignored.

Effective Bookkeeping Equals Effective Profits

I know the value of bookkeeping done effectively. Understanding your books can affect your bottom line by understanding and managing your income and expenses. I understand that. You need to know what is making you money and what is costing you money. Allow me to help to relieve you of the bookkeeping tasks that weigh you down. You can feel confident knowing that you can trust me to take over those responsibilities so you can finally take a breather and know your books!

A little personal about me . . .

I grew up and lived in the country in the cold climate of Wisconsin. After getting married, my husband enjoyed starting businesses. I am a mom of four amazing children. While running our businesses, I homeschooled three of my children and was involved in the Awana and deaf ministry at our church. Jesus Christ is the most important person in my life.

I enjoyed having my children at home. Our time together was precious! However, their final high school years were difficult for all of us. While homeschooling and managing the tasks of our business, I contracted Lyme Disease. The struggle of getting diagnosed and treated was almost worse than the disease itself! Lying in bed or on the recliner became most of my life. There was a time when I thought I would die. As all chronic disease patients do, I had done extensive research on health and the human body. Now, through the resources and wisdom God gave me, I am completely recovered.

God has taught me much in my lifetime, and I learned to rely on Him. I love Him more than ever. Now, I am hoping to pass on the blessings he has so much bestowed upon me.
